Lawrence Lenihan

Founder of FirstMark Capital

Lawrence Lenihan is the Founder of FirstMark Capital (www.firstmarkcap.com),  an early stage venture capital firm focusing on investments in companies that use technology to disrupt the businesses in which they compete.  Prior to FirstMark, Lawrence founded Pequot Ventures in 1996, the predecessor firm to FirstMark.   His retail investments include ahalife, Chop’t Creative Salad Company, Mendocino Farms and Send The Trend.  He is also the co-founder and Chairman of Norisol Ferrari, a creator of hand-crafted luxury outerwear. In addition to his investment activities, Lawrence is an Adjunct Professor at NYU where he teaches a popular course on entrepreneurship called “Ready, FIRE! Aim”.  He is an active advisor to several critical initiatives including tech@NYU, NYC Seed, NYCEDC’s Retail 2020 commission among others.  www.lawrencelenihan.com
