Source4Style is the first online tradeshow for materials sourcing & global design inspiration.

Showcasing a curated network of fashion textiles suppliers from over 32 countries, the Source4Style platform allows buyers to search, sample & source new material inspiration 365-days a year – rather than a few days a year at a tradeshow.

Our mission is to give all designers and fashion brands uninterrupted access to truly distinctive materials that give their collections an edge above the rest.

our
Manifesto

Great fashion should tell
an even greater story.

Whether your collection begins in the mills of Prato or the highlands of Peru, all distinctive design begins with a journey and a great story.

Design for obsolescence is becoming, well, obsolescent.

Quintessential style has longevity that's rooted in the careful selection of quality materials.

Sourcing sustainable
materials is good for everyone
- most importantly, you.

Beyond being good for people and the planet, sustainable materials are among the most unique on the market. And which designer doesn't want to be unique?

The biggest trends come from singular discoveries.

To create the next big thing, take the time to discover something unconventional.

We have the world at our fingertips.

In an increasingly and constantly connected world, we have the opportunity every day to discover a world of new material…

Our Story

In 2010, two friends with budding careers in fashion met to discuss how great style can create a better world.

What sounds like a trite topic of conversation was rooted in Benita Singh's passion for increasing market access for skilled artisans around the world and Summer Rayne Oakes' deep-seated commitment to imbuing fashion with environmental sustainability.

After many tea dates & lengthy email conversations, Benita & Summer decided to realize their vision by addressing the first - and most scaleable - part of the fashion supply chain. Textiles.

The first version of Source4Style was launched in October 2011. The platform connected 15 textile suppliers to a hand-picked community of independent fashion designers. From India's vegetable-dyed organic cotton to Peru's fair trade natural color cotton, Source4Style unveiled leading materials - all once unbeknownst to our growing design community.

Word got out, and 15 suppliers became over 100 suppliers. Today, these suppliers are coming from over 32 countries. And as two young women with a big vision and clear mission, a great team came together to bring it all to life.

While the marketplace may have grown, the core mission remains the same - to increase market access for textiles suppliers around the world. Source4Style's accessible online platform allows suppliers to reach new buyers 365-days a year - rather than just a few days a year at a trade fair.

Whether it be recycled salmon leather sourced off the coast of Iceland or cashmere from a family-owned mill in Prato, Source4Style's growing marketplace gives designers the inspiration and tools to source truly unique materials that will give their collections an edge above the rest - and play a small role in designing a better world.
